FACETASM’s name is derived from the word facet. Japanese fashion designer Hiromichi Ochia selected this name because he wants his brand to represent a variety of perspectives.

Ochiai was born in Tokyo in 1977. He graduated from Bunka Fashion College in 1999, after which he worked at Guildwork, a textile company that works with established Japanese labels like COMME des GARCONS, Zucca, and UNDERCOVER.

Ochiai launched FACETASM in 2007 and almost immediately gained international attention. His creations are edgy and feature a great variety of prints, materials and colors. True Tokyo streetwear.
